DFDS Seaways operate ferry services from Älvsborgshamnen, Gothenburg to Brevik, Ghent, Immingham and Tilbury.

The Port of Gothenburg has for more than 300 years been the natural central port for the Nordic region. Over 70% of the Nordic countries’ industrial production lies within a radius of 500 kms and can be reached within six hours.

The terminal at Gothenburg is subject to the following opening times:

For wheeled units the latest check-in times are as per below. All other units as per agreement and hazardous units 6 hours prior to departure.   

Hazardous cargo

Bookings must be made before unit arrives at the gate and requests for shipment of Class 1 must be submitted one week before shipment.

Documents carried by Ship’s mail

Ship's mail should be turned in to / picked up at the ID-Services (Tel:+46 31 731 21 21 FAX:+46 31 731 26 69). The deadline for Ship's mail is the same as for that for wheeled units (see above).

DFDS Seaways cannot accept responsibility for mislaid or lost documents carried on behalf of the client.

Envelopes carried by ship’s mail should be properly addressed and clearly marked with unit number, booking number, vessel, port of destination and consignee.

DFDS Terminal Arendal is a warehouse operated by DFDS. The warehouse is situated with direct access into Port of Gothenburg/Älvsborgshamnen.
