DFDS Seaways Rotterdam (Vlaardingen) - Felixstowe freight ferry shipping route

Hazardous cargo
- Latest check-in time for pre-booked hazardous traffic is 2 hours before departure
- Latest check-in time for accompanied & non hazardous traffic - 1 hour before departure in Felixstowe
- Latest check-in time for accompanied & non-hazardous traffic - 1.5 hour before departure in Rotterdam
Abnormal loads
Due to the nature of these movements, all out of gauge requests via the North Sea routes will be assessed on a case by case basis. Please contact ferry.felix@dfds.com for out of gauge or normal requests from Felixstowe to Rotterdam and ferry.rotterdam@dfds.com for all out of gauge and normal requests from Immingham to Rotterdam.
Due to restrictions at the entrance to our Rotterdam terminal the following vehicles must be considered as abnormal loads:
- Height exceeding 4.2m
- Width exceeding 3.1m
An additional entrance is available for vehicles up to 4m in width, but any vehicle longer than 18m that tries to use this entrance will have problems turning in to it.
Maximum weight for Rotterdam-Felixstowe is 22.5 tons/axle, 4 wheels/axle and a total maximum weight of 60 tons
All out of gauge movements at Immingham must be notified and a time slot allocated to proceed through the out of gauge gate, this must be done via your Customer Services representative
